     Network interface card (NIC, network adapter, Ethernet-adapter) - a payment that enables computers to communicate with each other through a local area network.

      There are 3 types of cards: built-in, internal and external. Built-in network interface cards - cards that are built into the motherboard manufacturer. Domestic - boards, in-slot motherboard (pci, pci-e, etc.). External network adapter - connect via usb (convenience that can be used even for computers, even on laptops) or PCMCIA (used in laptops).
